I 'm finally getting to the end of the pink and brown pile of scraps. Here's a work in progress, scrappy pink strings. It's going to be an odd size because I'm using up what I have.
This is how we keep up with each other and the projects we work on. Her is the one who doesn't pin and quilts her way! The Crafter, who won't crochet, is a painter, a stitcher and has a few more talents up her sleeve. Me is the quilter that pins, irons and measures twice!!!

2019 projects that didn't get posted
Here are a few of the projects that I can find pics for that I completed in 2019.
These are 2 of 4 hot mats that were made from old placemats.
Felt snowman ornaments with noses that light up.
Another felt kit, that took a lot longer than anticipated because of all the sequins.
This embroidery project, came as just a print. All color choices and stitching was up to me. Of course the OCD tendencies came through and I had to plan it out completely before starting.
This is a felt wreath that was completed with and for my friend.
These felt Christmas ornaments are cute, but not fun to make. It is a pattern that I may pretend to lose.

Karate Quilt
Last year, I made a quilt for the Estevan Taekwon-do Club to raffle off at their tournament. I was approached by one of the members who practices both Taekwon-do and Karate, he asked me if I would make a quilt for the karate club he belonged to so they could raffle it off.
Normally I draw designs out on graph paper but when your standing in Fabricland you improvise!!
Slice the fabric, sew it together and voila, you get a quilt top!
I need to add the logo to the middle rectangle, add batting, a back and do some quilting to finish this up!
The Quilt Cave was a productive location!!!

I decided to do something similar to the one I made for the Estevan club. Here is the beginning of my plan:

Mammoth Plaid Flannel with a Blue Jean Back
As promised, this quilt is done!!
I’ve started to use the back as binding more often, too. I cut the back 1.5 inches bigger, folded it over and created the binding. Then double stitched around it to finish it off neatly!!
There are a few nail holes to fix from the previous owner and then I’m calling it done!
I think flannel and plaid go well with blue jeans! I happened to have a bag of blue jeans to use for quilting! I didn’t keep any of the seams from the jeans. I find it easier for my sewing machine to not use them. I cut the legs off the jeans and cut the leg pieces using my long ruler. Then alternated the colours of the jeans to create the back.

I was on a creative roll today. I redid our entrance wall. It was too busy and messy before. Much neater and organized now!!

I Love Paper Piecing
It’s true! I do love to paper piece! Last year, I stumbled upon a pattern for an ATAT.... aka a pew pew!! This was my first step down into the rabbit hole which lead me to joining the Quiet Play 2019 Pattern Club. I instantly joined and started to work away at the patterns that arrived in my inbox each month. Each month, I receive a word, image and a bonus block pattern. I didn’t plan much out in terms of colour like Kristy Lea of Quiet Play designs - she does a lovely job of using 🌈 colours for each block!!
These are the blocks that I have completed::
I know what your thinking ... you still have a lot of blocks to make! You’re right!! That’s because I made all of these bonus blocks:
I would like to get the rest of the required blocks done so I can start the 2020 Pattern Club!!!
I may need to do more planning for this one in terms of colours used!!
Here is what’s required for the 2019 Pattern Club:

Mammoth Plaid Flannel Big Baby Quilt
Quilt Cave Star Date: 73602

Today has been a day to remember! One quilt top completed and named. I present to you the Mammoth Plaid Flannel Big Baby Quilt!!
These flannels screamed “Wonky Log Cabin” to Her so that’s what I did. I kept the traditional red centre square - that’s the only thing traditional about it. I plan to add a blue jean back to this real soon and get it listed on my Etsy store
ASAP!!

So glad to be back in the quilt cave! Loving the new flooring!!

Pink polka dots
Still on fire, procrastinating cleaning my house, I finished the pink pinwheel baby quilt today. This was one of those I have a vague idea what I want it to look like quilts. It my head it was cute frolicking pinwheels. However I made the blocks too big and it looked a little pepto-bismally. I don't rip things apart so I just went with it. I quilted about every inch and a half with grey straight lines and that really toned down the overwhelming pink. So I present to you Pepto Pink Polka Dot Pinwheels.

On fire ( not literally)
I'm on fire!!! I finished up this rail fence baby quilt today. I've decided baby quilts are my thing right now because that's about the size my attention span can handle ( plus I don't feel like I'm wrestling a pig when I lay one out by myself). Of course it doesn't line up properly in some spots but I'm good with that. What's in the works with you ladies? Her

Getting back online
So I'm trying to getting my crafty sewing self back online( literally and figuratively) so I've been doing projects that don't require a lot of thinking. First, I crocheted some toques for the Lighthouse and the Blessing Box.
Next, I dug out a bag of fabric that Julie had been gifted which had been living in my garage. I made a basic strip quilt of many different types of fabrics I normally don't quilt with. We'll call it functional.
Finally, I was unpacking a box and found a ziplock back that the Crafter must have put together. I made a wonky log cabin that I quilted in random straight lines. I love it.
That's a quick update! What have you been up to, Me?
