Macrame snowman DONE!!!

This project might not have been a good choice for a first attempt at macrame, but I got it done.

This was the beginning of the snowman face. It took me quite some time to figure out how to connect it on the sides. I finally ended up finding a video on Pinterest that helped me.

This is the finished head. There was a lot of talking to myself. Just ask Her, she was here crafting when I was working on it.

Then Her help me figure out how to do the weaving for the scraf. 

The face was beads that I glued on. I also added the green bow to scraf.

Then I added a brim to the hat and attached it to the head. The project was completed. 

The instructions were a little challenging for a beginner, but I was stubborn and figured them out. I found them not to contain enough detail about how to do something or maybe it is just the way my brain works. 😄 

On a roll

 Hi there ladies,

  Apparently I’m on a roll with pinning. I made a small starblanket for my classroom door based on the colours in the Treaty Six flag.  I tried a couple of layouts.

Okay, but I decided to be fancy and mix the center star up.

 

Since it’s small, I quilted in each point and the did straight lines in white and pale blue.

Tried something I've never done before.

The beginning of a new project.

I randomly decided one day to buy a macrame project.  Let's be honest it was a snowman and I have a thing for snowman decor. 

But I have never done macrame. So there was a bit of a learning curve. But thanks to some YouTube videos I was able to figure it out.

Here is the first part figured out. It is not perfect, but it will do.

I needed somewhere to hang it while knotting, so I used my clothes rack.

New skills are exhausting

Spring decor

I got a spurt of crafting energy, so I completed two painting projects.

I like to take basecoat these projects in white, it seems to make it easier to add color on top.

This is a porcelain basket, before color was added.

This was a wooden wreath, before color was added.

This is the after of the wreath. I tried to use Spring like colors.

This is the completed basket. I struggled with brown of this basket, but in the end it turned out pretty good.

I enjoy these painting projects that I can complete in a couple days.
