Another Quilt Along!

Why not!! It doesn’t start until June 21st and the first week is picking out your material. Which I’ve done already. I know what you are thinking, which Grunge fabric is she going to use??? Im not sure but the majority of the fabric is going to come from Moda’s Sunshine Soul fabric line. 

Look at those beautiful colours!! I love the colours in this fabric line. And the florals are fabulous. 

These are my favourites: 

I have been flowing Lo & Behold Stitchery for awhile now. I love her patterns and fabric choices. Brittany is hosting a QAL. We are making her version of the Ombré Puff Quilt. 

I have to figure out a back fabric and I need to grab the stuffing. I have 16 fat quarters but I need 25. I’m going to add some Grunge solids to make 25 fat quarters. 

I have a bunch of other things I need to do first. This is my reward for finishing another school year!!

May’s Block

This is the main part of May’s block for 2021 Quiet Play Pattern Club:

I am loving sewing with rainbows. 

I’ve been asked to make some more t-shirt quilts for grad gifts from parents. Here’s one of them laid out on a queen side bed! It’s going to be wonderful and I can’t wait to get started piecing it together.

Favour for a friend

 Good evening ladies,

    A work colleague had asked me before the great leg break incident if I would bind a quiet book she had made or her son.  Even though I despise binding I naively said I would. Now that I’m mostly healed she brought me the book.  There are some very cute pages made out of felt. I bound each pair of pages first, then made a cover.  For the inner spine I did fold over binding and then made an outer spine.  I’m glad it’s done but I think this is on the list of things I won’t do again.  What have you ladies been working on?
