Pockets

 Hi there ladies,

While I have been crafty I have been a negligent blogger. I wanted to share my newest ribbon skirt I made for a photo shoot I was doing.  Most importantly, I have successfully put in pockets! ( In  my last attempt at pockets the pocket was offside and only big enough for a chapstick, lol). This skirt’s pockets can hold my phone. It’s blue and red and the ribbons have a Treaty Six flag vibe.  Next time, I will check that the fabric is not printed with a sideways one directional print, because I had to do a lot of thinking to get this one to work out the way I wanted. I’m sure it’s really not that difficult but you know me and spatial thinking.🤔 What have you ladies been up to?

Mother's Day

The night before Mother's Day I decided that I needed to make a flower somehow.

I was seeing my mom, Grandma and aunt. So to Pinterest I went. I found a couple of felt flower patterns, because this Crafter seems to have extra of that.

This is the pattern, for the petal structure and leaves.

These are the three colors I chose.  Yellow for Grandma - her favorite color.

A pretty pink for mom.

A bright pink for the aunt.

To finish the project I wrapped the sticks with green tape and added leaves.

This is a top view of the finished flower.

The ladies all loved them.  Sometimes late night ideas do turn out.

Quilting for the Crafter

 Good evening ladies,

I wanted to share a couple of quilts that I made for the Crafter. One was a duplicate of a previous quilt for a cousin’s canine and the other for a new baby cousin.

Wooden flower kits

I tackled one of these kits awhile go.

I decided to try a couple more, a Lilac and a Pink Lily.

The lilac's instructions were challenging, I had to step away a couple of times because of frustration. But it got completed.

The pink lily was much easier.

This is what the kits start as. The lilac had a hundred more pieces than the lily.

This is the completed Lilac.

This is the completed Pink Lily side and top view.
