Crocheting Continues

Good day ladies,

I am still on the crocheting train these days and it is all Hook and Fibre Made’s fault! Her patterns are so easy to follow and work up quick! I love her colour choices, too!!

I started the Chunky Waves Throw a while ago. It is 8.5/11 done!

It appears that I don’t have enough of the blue-ish colour. It is called Night Sky! And guess what???  I can’t find another ball of it in Canada that isn’t going to cost me an arm and a leg. I am going to get Raivyn to pick up one ball of it in Minot for me. So, until that happens, this one is on hold.

In true Christa fashion, I have started another afghan. I took a chance and ordered some thick, chunky yarn. It is very polyester like. Will probably fall apart or disintegrate if it is washed but it is going to look great! I think I made it too big! Can you imagine? Me making something too big!! It is the length of our oversized couch! I am seeing a theme here!! 6 balls of yarn used by hand crocheting and 6 to go!

The colour is sage green, however it sure doesn’t look like it in the pictures.

I am going to try to finish this one today! I have to figure out how to crochet upside down to do it or have arm extensions! I have to lay it out on the island to work on it. It is now too wide and will have to fall off the side for me to finish it. It is going to be a challenge but worth it!!

I’ve discovered that trips to Regina go much faster when I am doing something so I started another afghan. It is called The Painted Snowdrift Throw by Hook and Fibre Made. It is a fun pattern to the wave develop as you go.

It is going to be a double sided pattern - emphasizing different yarn on each side.

Not sure the espresso colour was the right one to use with the other two but it is what I had.

Other than crocheting, I’ve been watching lots of hockey lately!! Two games at once, at times!

What have you two been up to??

Happy Sunday!
