Good evening ladies,
I give you rag rug three. It’s a total hodgepodge of many different textures. I don’t know where it’s going and it’s more of an eye shape as opposed to an oval but I like the scrappiness. Her
This is how we keep up with each other and the projects we work on. Her is the one who doesn't pin and quilts her way! The Crafter, who won't crochet, is a painter, a stitcher and has a few more talents up her sleeve. Me is the quilter that pins, irons and measures twice!!!

Good evening ladies,
I give you rag rug two. It’s much smaller than number one and I obviously picked up a stitch half way but it’s nice and soft. Her
Good morning ladies,
I created a Saskatchewan inspired art piece. Kawandi is about re-using so the Siddi probably wouldn’t be making art ( they’re busy just trying to survive) but I used scraps and their method to create my piece. I used hand quilting thread , with larger stitches, to start.
Progress has been made on the felt project.
I made some adjustments to it. My friend didn't want all the words so I made the Merry Christmas work, plus the red dots on the letters were suppose to be French knots but that is way to much work and I went into the craft drawers and found red beads to use. I found the sequin snowflakes in the craft drawers to replace the other words.
Good afternoon ladies,
I have been attacked by squirrels again. I feel like I should try Kawandi stitching/quilting. I’ve googled way too much and feel like this arty quilting is a new thing to try. After all, watching a YouTube video is really all the prep I need, right?😂. See https://flourishingpalms.blogspot.com/2020/10/kawandi-quilt-and-improv.html for an idea of what Kawandi quilting is.

Good morning ladies,
I give you scrappy rug, yesterday’s squirrel. Originally it was going to be a small mat (maybe five rows) with red corduroy on both ends. However, it didn’t feel done so I kept making more fabric yarn and it kept growing. No real pattern, just light than dark. I had to tie in the red from the start so I edged it with red and just had enough. The corduroy makes it nice and sturdy. Will it hold up to washing some day? Who knows. What have you ladies been working on? Her
Good morning ladies,
I am in pursuit of a figurative squirrel. I need a little break from gypsy wife, so I thought I should organize something n the cave. I found this bag of weird fabric from Julie ( think corduroy, decor weight, Jersey...) I haven’t done anything with it but I can’t throw it away. So a crocheted rag rug it is. I’m making strips one inch wide and sewing them into’yarn’. I’m using the big hook Me gave me and it’s turning out ugly but cute. More to happen today. Her
Good evening ladies,
Well, the craziness that is my scrappy orphan block quilt , inspired by the gypsy wife quilt, continues. There’s a lot of making stuff fit because I’m using blocks of random sizes which is requiring a lot of brain power. I’m making the background a low volume neutral, I’ve wanted to do something neutral-is her for a while. I even had neutral yardage in the cave already. More to come. Her
The first attempt at the fabric bowl did not work because the instructions weren't great. My aunt went back to the lady and found out there was video to watch on her website. This video filled in all the vagueness in the printed instructions.
They definitely worked better this time. I was able to make two bowls because I didn't make them that big or exceptionally thick.
They are a neat idea, just not sure what purpose I will use them for.
It is not something I will tackle again, but if I ever did I have learnt a few things.
1.Make sure your fabric is cut into small pieces
2.Make sure your fabric is not too thick
3. Make sure to thin out the medium enough, but not too much or it becomes slippery.
Good evening ladies,
Today we had a whole day of art. The task monochromatic self portrait in blue scale. It was an epic production. While everyone mastered the five point value scale not everyone mastered the photo transfer self portrait. A pleasant bonus to wearing a mask is we didn’t have to paint a nose or mouth.😀 There was a couple well done and many ‘interesting ‘ ones. I thought I’d share mine. I quite like it. Her
Well another diamond dot is done. For whatever reason I ran out of one color of dot, so I made due with what I had. It is not that noticeable anyway.
It’s always an awesome feeling when you know your gifts are being loved. I just wanted to share a shot of a message from Mr. Her’s un-sister in Australia and a pic of Dolly rocking her new jacket. Her
Good afternoon ladies,
Today I give you a coat and toque for Emmy’s baby who is of course, named Dolly. Sadly this coat is only one colour but I’m hoping Dolly will like it ( and that it will fit). https://oombawkadesigncrochet.com/2018/03/18-inch-doll-clothes-coat-and-hat-for-dolly.html

Good evening ladies,
So I’ve been occasionally making blocks from the classic block tutorials at diary of a quilter with some scraps and it’s time to do something with the blocks and orphan bits I found in the scraps from Me.
