Hi there,
So here's a couple of pics of the heatwave quilt I just finished. I ended up quilting it in straight-ish lines of different stitch lengths in all different directions. It was a nice break from reading patterns and cutting things straight.

This is how we keep up with each other and the projects we work on. Her is the one who doesn't pin and quilts her way! The Crafter, who won't crochet, is a painter, a stitcher and has a few more talents up her sleeve. Me is the quilter that pins, irons and measures twice!!!

Disappearing four patch
Hey there,
So here's something we could do with our scraps, a disappearing four patch. I've done the disappearing nine patch before butfor some reason hadn't thought of this one. It could also be good for quick baby quilts.
Check it out, http://hopequilters.blogspot.ca/2011/06/disappearing-four-patch-block-tutorial.html

Beach Dress Prototype
Hey there,
I've been somewhat productive in the last couple of days. I've quilted the heatwave quilt and made the binding for it. I've also made a modified beach dress for Tanya with less smocking but I'm not sure about the shoulder straps. They seem to long in the picture but I measured them on me and they seemed okay. Now I guess I need to figure out a child's version for Ava. I've also got a blue and grey quilt for some co-workers who are getting married in September. So what's up with you.

Serenity through quilting
Hi there, Well I had a lot of rage after the soccer game yesterday so I though
maybe I should try and calm myself through quilting. I finished up a
baby boy quilt for baby William yesterday.
This is my "arty" quilt shot.
It's pretty cute. What have you been up to?

Beach Towel Dress
Hi there,
So we were at the beach yesterday and I was thinking I should make Ava a pillowcase dress out of a towel. I could also make something like this. http://www.danamadeit.com/2010/06/beach-towel-dress.html What do you think? I haven't used elastic thread in a long time so it might take some trying.

dolly diaper bag
Saw this and thought this is so cute. http://www.mommybydaycrafterbynight.com/2011/11/dolly-diaper-bag-tutorial.html. Ava would probably love one and it could be made larger for a real diaper bag.
