Tried something I've never done before.

The beginning of a new project.

I randomly decided one day to buy a macrame project.  Let's be honest it was a snowman and I have a thing for snowman decor. 

But I have never done macrame. So there was a bit of a learning curve. But thanks to some YouTube videos I was able to figure it out.

Here is the first part figured out. It is not perfect, but it will do.

I needed somewhere to hang it while knotting, so I used my clothes rack.

New skills are exhausting

Spring decor

I got a spurt of crafting energy, so I completed two painting projects.

I like to take basecoat these projects in white, it seems to make it easier to add color on top.

This is a porcelain basket, before color was added.

This was a wooden wreath, before color was added.

This is the after of the wreath. I tried to use Spring like colors.

This is the completed basket. I struggled with brown of this basket, but in the end it turned out pretty good.

I enjoy these painting projects that I can complete in a couple days.

Learned something new!

Day 6 on the couch - this is what I’ve learned

1. Day time tv sucks

2. You can only do so many laps of your own house in one day

3. Laying down all day is harder than you think. 

4. A glass of water feels really heavy

I stumbled upon crochet TikToks and decided to learn a new pattern. It’s called Corner 2 Corner or C2C.

Here’s what I’ve got done so far

I’m using sock yarn for this. I think mom bought this yarn for me in AZ. 

I’m not exactly sure how I’m going to use all three colours. I’ll figure it out as I go.

Finally done

I got this Felt Advent calendar kit a few years ago on sale. I didn't have a plan for it, so it got put aside to complete other projects with deadlines. 

So I decided to put a deadline on it and I got it done.

This is all the parts of the kit.

This is the 24 individual pockets.

This is the completed project.

The hardest part of this project was attaching it all the pellon backing. But it is complete and that is what matters to me.
