Beach shirt

 Good evening ladies,

I give you my bleach tie dye beach shirt.

 I spritzed it first with the bleach mixture and it was pretty underwhelming so I went for more of an ombré dip.

 

It will be good to cover my shoulders at the beach when they start to fry.

T-Shirt Quilt

One more done! I started this one the last time I was in NB. You may remember it. I finished it and delivered it today!! 

I’m not sure what it was with these jeans but I couldn’t get them to lay flat. Too much stretch in them. 

I did some stitch in the ditch quilting in this one. You can hardly see the navy thread I used in the back.

Teacher Gift

I’ve made a number of gifts for teachers who are retiring or leaving Westview school over the years. This year, I was asked to make something for the VP who is moving to the same school I am in the fall. She didn’t want a quilt but wanted me to use her t-shirts. She asked if I could make her some pillows. So that is what I did! 

The pillows were a little smaller than what I would have liked but I think they turned out great. 

My puff quilt quilt-a-long started last week. Here’s the material I have selected!! 

I wanted to get started last night but my brain couldn’t. I’m so mentally exhausted, I can’t think straight. I’m still on schedule. Last week was all about selecting material and this next week is about cutting material. I may or may not get started on that today. I have a couple other projects that I should finish instead of starting something new but that’s not who I am!! Hahaha!!

Grad Quilts Done!!

I am happy to say I finished both grad quilts with time to spare. 

First up, the pj quilt. 

It turned out great and it’s long enough for the 6’7” tall kid that it belongs to now!! 

Quilt number 2 I absolutely love. 

The quilting is pretty random for this one. It follows the piecing pattern from the front. 

I also finished this pillow: 

I put a nice fuzzy back on it. 

6 days left with students and 2 more after that! We got this!!

Grad Quilt Update

Hey ladies. 

I finished one quilt and have half the top of the second one done. My plan is to finish and deliver them this weekend. I haven’t taken pictures of the pj quilt yet. 

Here’s the state of the t-shirt, jacket, hockey jersey amd socks quilt:

This side has been sewn into large chunks. 

This side still needs to be put together. 

This is how I store it while I’m not working on it. 

Ginger has adopted Jager’s blanket rooting habit. He drags everything into a big pile. Can’t have that happen with this one. 

I wasn’t sure if I was going to add this sock into the quilt but I think I have to.
