On fire ( not literally)

I'm on fire!!! I finished up this rail fence baby quilt today. I've decided baby quilts are my thing right now because that's about the size my attention span can handle ( plus I don't feel like I'm wrestling a pig when I lay one out by myself).  Of course it doesn't line up properly in some spots but I'm good with that. Getting back online

So I'm trying to getting my crafty sewing self back online( literally and figuratively) so I've been doing projects that don't require a lot of thinking.  First, I crocheted some toques for the Lighthouse and the Blessing Box.

Next, I dug out a bag of fabric that Julie had been gifted which had been living in my garage.  I made a basic strip quilt of many different types of fabrics I normally don't quilt with.  We'll call it functional.

Finally, I was unpacking a box and found a ziplock back that the Crafter must have put together.  I made a wonky log cabin that I quilted in random straight lines.  I love it.

A T-Shirt Quilt for Christmas

I was asked to make a t-shirt quilt by a friend of mine.  Her son has grown out of his favorite t-shirts and didn't want to get rid of them.  She tossed them in a bag and handed them off to me.  This is what I came up with.

I struggled to decided what to add for the border.  I had planned to use a plain blue material but something just wasn't right.  I was walking around Wal-Mart and saw this plaid set of flannel sheets and thought it would be perfect!!  Part kid and part old man!!

I only have a few things left to finish up before holiday!!

Another Cow Quilt

It has been a long time since I posted last.  I'm not actually sure why I stopped blogging, I haven't stopping quilting or creating.  I was looking at my last to-do list I posted.  I think it's time to update it.  Hopefully I've actually finished a few items off the list.  Maybe I'll do a recap of the past two years and update what I've done.

I've started to follow a few different quilters on Instagram.  I really think we should go to a quilt-con sometime.  It looks like it would be inspiring!!  I fell in love with this pattern:

I think this is going to be my end of the school year project!!  It will be interesting to choose fabric for it.  I can't wait!!
