Golf Pro Fundraiser Donation Qult

Our local golf pro was diagnosed with cancer last fall. Over the winter, she has been receiving treatment and working on her health. Tickets for her fundraising supper sold out in less than a day. The location has moved twice to accommodate more people. Since Mr Me spends a lot of time at the golf course, I figured I could make something for the fundraiser.

When I goggled “golf quilts”, there was a number of cute quilts that came up.

With a little more looking, I found this one:

I broke my plan and bought new fabric for this one but figured it was for a worthy cause!! Off to PeachTree in Regina to find some fabric. You will notice, I managed to use my favourite fabric, grunge!!

I did some simple straight line quilting and added the black with white polka dot binding, which I had already made!!

I love the sheet I used for the back of this quilt. I may order another set to use for other quilts. It so bright and happy!!

Next up, I’m going to finish one of these two quilts:

I have this material to put on the back of the cow quilt:

I’m leaning more towards the second quilt. For some silly reason, I keep thinking I need to do some fancy quilting on the cow quilt. I’m not sure what to put in the back of the second quilt. I feel like it needs something bright!! Maybe I’ll make a scrappy back!

Only time will tell …
