Benefit quilt 2

 Happy Holidays ladies,

I wanted to share a couch quilt I made for a raffle at my school’s Fun Night. The proceeds went to the same family I made the utility quilt for.  I’m going to start some new tops for palliative care this break hopefully. What are you ladies up to? ( Me, it must be time for your yearly recap).

Stay warm,

Her

I just about forgot, Christmas pie ornaments.

Potential memory quilt idea

  Hi there ladies,

I saw this quilt and thought it would make a great memory quilt for a person who loved flannel or western shirts. Just an idea to keep in mind. Her

Christmas present

I made these ornaments for my sister in law. Her whole tree is in gold and white. So hopefully she likes them.

This was a lot of backstitching, which is not my favorite stitch.

Denim couch quilt

 Good morning ladies,

I’m sharing a ‘utility quilt’, you know the one for your truck or trailer that I made for a benefit team roping being held for one of my former student’s mom. Her prognosis isn’t good so her friends and acquaintances are trying to help out.  What have you ladies been up to?  Her

Door hanger #2

This one was made for an elderly lady from my parents church that moved into a senior living facility.  I gave her some different options and she chose one similar to this one. I couldn't find all the same materials as the original, so this is my version.

Winter Door hanger

Winter door hanger made with some new things and old things.

The beginning steps: some new things and some old.

The process: paint a large wooden snowflake, and some small ones.
Add glitter to the small ones and seal them.

Then glue the small snowflakes onto the big one.

Then you add the reused wood reindeer with new noses and hanging snowman. Add some ribbon to finish it off.

Gift for the Crafter

Hi there, just sharing a baby quilt I made for the Crafter’s newest relative. We picked out girlie colours and some floral prints to play off the baby’s middle name of Rose. Perfect for time at the lake or tummy time.  Her

Reuse to make new

I made two different small door hangers by reusing materials that I already had. It also gave me an excuse to redo my outside wreath.

Happy Fall

This was another paint by number completed. This shows the progression of the painting.

School’s out forever…

  Hello ladies,

I’m sharing a couch quilt for a young lady who has finished her FIP program at the Comp. Her dad is Mr. Her’s coaching partner/ brother so she has spent a lot of time with Mr. Her. It’s blocks in her favourite colours and is the perfect size for her to snuggle on the couch and watch her favourite cartoons. Her

Bead soup

 Hello ladies,

What to make from the ‘bead soup’ on the bottom of my beading tray?

I tried a new tutorial and made some simple fringe earrings. I quite like them.  Her

A wood craft kit

I have been looking at these wood kits online for awhile. I finally bought one to try.

This was a punch out kit that slides and clicks together.

This piece I fought with it to stay together, so I finally pulled out the wood glue.

This is the final project.

It was fun and I might tackle another one.
