Cowl Reveal

I found this great variegated yarn at Wal-Mart last night when I went shopping in the blizzard. I was hunting for a cowl that's not too big and not to small. I found the pattern on Craftsy, which is becoming my second favourite site!! I started it this morning, missed a stitch somewhere along the way, ripped it out and started again, decided I didn't like how all the colours in the yarn were showing up in rows and not all over the place. So I ripped it out again and adjusted the pattern! I'm watching the Raven Bronco NFL game with Dallas and am crocheting away!!

Printing on Ribbon

Jessie, a PE teacher at school, asked me if My sewing machine could sew letters!! I said yes, wondering what she wanted!! She had a great idea for a surprise engagement party. She's part of the wedding party and the couple is getting married in Maui! She wanted to put ribbons with their names on a lei! So we printed on the ribbon using a printer, just like printing on material!! They turned out great!! Here are a few pictures:

Scrappy Strings Pics

So here's some pics from a quick shoot outside after work of the scrappy strings quilt.  I'm loving it-not sure I'll make another for a while.  I guess I can cross this off the 2012 list finally.  I should probably look at the list but that's something for another day.  What's up with you.
